The City of Fresno’s plan to expand their water treatment capabilities involved a Surface Water Treatment Facility to be created in Southeast Fresno on Olive and Armstrong Avenues.
Yamabe & Horn were tasked with providing survey data for all right-of-way, topographic, and utility information along the 12 mile freshwater pipeline project. Yamabe & Horn collected section corners and property monuments to establish right-of-way lines based on extensive research with Fresno County. Yamabe & Horn coordinated the aerial survey by setting control panels throughout the entire alignment. Field surveys were completed for all underground utilities that would not be collected by the aerial mapping. Yamabe & Horn contacted utility companies to request utility plats, which included GIS data from multiple agencies. Office staff conducted in-house and field QA/QC verification of all survey data. Yamabe & Horn land surveyors provided title research and easement documents for temporary and permanent easements.
Yamabe & Horn’s work on the KRP project required a critical coordination with the surveyor preparing the RTM pre-design work. Yamabe & Horn land surveyors worked directly with AECOM’s surveyor and helped explain the City of Fresno datum issues and provided our survey control data.
