Yamabe & Horn Named Runner-Up as Best Engineering Firm

We are proud to announce that Yamabe & Horn have been named runner-up in this year’s Business Journal “Best Engineering Firm” category. Our mention in the “Best of Central Valley Business” issue illustrates our continued focus on improving and strengthening the Central Valley in both private and municipal engineering projects.  With over 35 years of experience, we are proud to have this recognition and reminder that we are still delivering on our core values.

Says co-founder Gary Horn, “Ron (Yamabe) and I started this in 1979 and our goal was to make it to 5 years. To be in our 35th year now is simply amazing, especially since we’re growing faster now than ever before!”

With the recent addition of our second location in Soledad, we are striving to provide our full suite of offerings to clients throughout the Central Coast, making the Yamabe & Horn brand even stronger.  One of our Principals, Brandon Broussard notes that, “we’re very excited to have opened our first remote branch this year, located on the Central Coast to help serve our growing client base over there, including the City of Soledad, Camp Roberts, and Vandenberg AFB.” With a wide range of services offered, from commercial grading and drainage to private development wastewater control and treatment facilities, Yamabe & Horn has enjoyed tremendous growth.

We are passionate about improving the Central Valley and its surrounding businesses and structures.  Our work with the Fashion Fair Mall Expansion in 2006 was the most significant construction project to occur on this property since 1970.  With over 74,000 square feet, Yamabe & Horn took particular care to handle utility relocation and parking lot topography for this project.  Our team worked to improve business and customer experience and we are proud to say this development was a complete success.

Yamabe & Horn recently worked with Donahue Schriber on renovating the historic Fig Garden Village in Fresno.  The renovation integrated the strengths of its existing merchandising and design, with a broad introduction of new retailers to the Fresno marketplace, further securing the Central Valley as an attractive economic investment.
