Accounting Manager
- Financial Management: Oversee the general ledger, reconcile bank statements, and manage loans; support annual and quarterly CPA reviews and tax documentation, including employee W-2s.
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, review project manager approvals, plan and issue payments, and manage vendor relationships.
- Payroll Administration: Handle employee setup, prevailing wage updates, and accrual of sick and vacation time; manage medical, dental, and vision premiums; process bi-weekly payroll, handle direct deposits, taxes, and finalize paychecks.
- Project Contracts: Prepare and manage contract documentation, including creating PDFs of standard agreements, securing signatures via DocuSign, and storing signed contracts.
- Prevailing Wage Compliance: Generate certified payroll reports and ensure accurate prevailing wage management.
- Billing and Invoicing: Prepare and issue project invoices, create billing reports, and communicate project statuses with project managers and principals.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience, preferably in an engineering, construction, or project-based environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; familiarity with DocuSign and payroll systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger functions.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll reporting.
- Experience in project-based accounting or familiarity with contract management for engineering or construction projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, vendors, and internal teams to support seamless financial operations.
