Field Survey Crew Chief

As a Field Survey Crew Chief, you will lead a field survey team on a variety of civil engineering and land surveying projects. In this role, you will oversee field operations, ensuring data collection accuracy, team safety, and quality control to uphold our commitment to delivering precise, high-quality results to our clients. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in land surveying with advanced knowledge of survey equipment, procedures, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a field survey crew for various projects, including topographic, boundary, construction, and control surveys.
Oversee field data collection, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all survey records.
Set up, calibrate, and maintain survey equipment, such as GPS receivers, robotic total stations, and data collectors.
Conduct quality checks on collected data and provide initial interpretations to assist in boundary determinations and design development.
Train and mentor survey crew team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal survey regulations and company standards.
Document and report daily field activities, progress, and any issues or discrepancies encountered in the field.

Qualifications:

5+ years of field surveying experience, with at least 2 years in a crew chief or lead role.
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting modern survey equipment (e.g., GPS systems, robotic total stations, and data collectors).
Strong understanding of surveying techniques, geomatics, and field procedures, including construction staking and topographic surveys.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble (or similar survey software) for data processing and drafting.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal surveying regulations and requirements.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in both urban and rural land development projects.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and maintain productive team dynamics.
Commitment to safety, with knowledge of applicable safety standards and practices for field operations.

Design Engineer (PE, EIT, AE)

Whether you’re a registered Professional Engineer (PE), an Engineer in Training (EIT), or an Assistant Engineer (AE), this position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering projects that shape the communities we serve. As a Design Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects while continuing to develop your engineering expertise. The ideal candidate will have a few years of varied design experience and advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop civil engineering designs for a range of projects, including residential developments, commercial site developments, street improvements, and utility infrastructure.
Perform detailed design work for pump and tank systems, municipal utility master planning, and road infrastructure.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software to create and modify designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and surveyors to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Prepare cost estimates, evaluate design options, and propose solutions to meet project goals and client needs.
Assist in producing and reviewing technical reports, design documents, and plans in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

2+ years of civil engineering project design experience, with a focus on the areas of residential development, commercial development, and infrastructure design.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software for civil engineering design and drafting.
Experience in any of the following areas: utility infrastructure design, pump and tank design, municipal utility master planning, and cost estimating.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to evaluate design alternatives and propose cost-effective solutions.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal design regulations and standards.

Preferred Skills:

Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or progress towards licensure as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Assistant Engineer (AE).
Knowledge of civil engineering principles related to stormwater management, grading, and roadway design.

Engineering Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and contractors to align project goals and deliverables.
Lead meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and government officials, providing clear communication on both technical and non-technical project elements.

Qualifications:

AutoCAD Civil 3D Technician/Drafter

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Civil 3D Technician/Drafter to join our team. This role is essential to the successful delivery of our civil engineering and land surveying projects. Our AutoCAD Technician/Drafter will work closely with our talented team members to help bring each project to life, from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating and editing engineering plans, subdivision maps, and other technical drawings within AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new engineering and land surveying drawings using provided templates and standards.
Create, modify, and update detailed civil engineering design elements (grading, drainage, utilities, etc.).
Incorporate land surveying points and data into engineering plans.
Edit existing drawings according to redline instructions from project engineers and land surveyors.
Produce and plot accurate engineering drawings for review and final submission.
Ensure all work adheres to company and industry standards for quality and precision.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and the land surveying team to ensure timely and accurate project completion.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a Civil Drafter/Technician using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
