Project Details
The City of Dinuba is an up and coming city that is growing expodentially and is always looking to improve the lives of its people. One of the ways to do that is to reconstruct areas that will be foundational for future development. With the reconstruction of Griggs Avenue and construction of a local pocket park, this area can bloom and attact residential development. Meanwhile the installation of storm drain and sanitary sewer systems along Alta Avenue opens up opportunity for businesses to connect and provide for future development.
This project opens up several possibilities, but did not come without its own issues and conflicts. Such conflicts included the lack of exsiting utility documentation that lead to miscommunicated utility locations. Such issues included stormwater collection without connecting to the main storm drain system, and connecting into existing properties without reaching outside of the project scope. These conflicts and issues were tackled by our team through communication and ingenuity that provided current solutions and accounted for future problems. Such solutions included relocating and improving the existing utilities, installing underground storm drain chambers underneath the new pocket park, and nearly perfect inspections that provided better slopes and elevations for the property owners.
Because of projects like this one, the City of Dinuba is able to better the lives of the people and continue to build for the future.
